How to adjust your hot water timer safely
Your hot water timer controls when your electric hot water system turns on and off. Adjusting the timer can help your system run during suitable times of the day, such as solar production periods or off-peak electricity times.
Important safety information
- This guide is for basic timer setting adjustments only.
- Please do not remove covers, access wiring, or attempt electrical repairs. For safety and warranty purposes, installation, wiring, replacement or repairs must be completed by a licensed electrician.

Check the current time on your timer
Confirm the clock on the timer matches the actual time before changing any settings.

Set your preferred ON and OFF times
Choose times that suit solar production periods or off-peak electricity windows.

Make sure the timer is set to Auto or Timer mode
The schedule only runs when the override switch is set correctly.
